Should you wish to taste famous Vietnamese coffee, you will find many coffee shops in French style with a view to the lake. Overnight in Hanoi.

Begin your journey with a warm welcome from our friendly guide as you set out to explore Hanoi City.

09:30 – Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you can view Ho Chi Minh’s embalmed body. Stroll through the serene gardens to see the two historic houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Then, explore the unique One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy.
(Note: Visitors are advised to dress modestly, covering shoulders to knees, when visiting the mausoleum, temples, and pagodas. The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays.)

11:15 – Head to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, founded in the 11th century.

12:45 – Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

15:15 – Explore Ngoc Son Temple (Temple of the Jade Mountain), which honors Confucian and Taoist philosophers as well as the national hero, Tran Hung Dao. The temple, known for its iconic The Huc Bridge, sits beautifully in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake.

The journey starts on a paved road before turning onto a narrow path leading down into the valley toward Y Linh Ho Village, located by the Muong Hoa River. From there, continue to the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai, home to one of the largest ethnic minority groups in Sapa. The Black H’mong people are proud of their heritage, maintaining their traditions, language, and distinctive indigo-blue clothing. Although they have transitioned from a nomadic lifestyle to a more settled way of living, remnants of their past can still be seen in the form of simple houses and stone walls surrounding their homes.

Next, trek to Ta Van Village (1,200m) to meet the Zay people, a smaller ethnic minority group of approximately 38,000 people residing mainly in Northwest Vietnam. While modern development has led to the loss of some traditions, Zay women still wear traditional shirts in purple, blue, or green hues. Their homes, made from wood and bamboo with clay floors, reflect their cultural roots.

If you visit between May and October, you’ll get the unique opportunity to witness locals planting or harvesting rice on the breathtaking terraced fields of Muong Hoa Valley—a key part of daily life in the region.
