3 Days Mai Chau – Pu Luong trekking

We will pick you up at your hotel at 8 am and leave Hanoi for Mai Chau, the beautiful gateway to the mountainous area of northern Vietnam. On the way we will have a short stop for refreshment and visit Hoa Binh hydro power station. After that we continue driving to Xa Linh Village, where we will have our lunch at a H’mong house. From here on we will not use car until the end of the tour.

After lunch we will ride a bicycle with local tour guide to see farmers working in fields, locals weaving scarves and visit surrounding peaceful villages. You have free time for bicycling, walking and shopping here. We then visit Thai living museum and have traditional BBQ dinner. After that, you will enjoy Thai traditional dance in the stilt house and drink traditional alcohol with the community. Overnight in homestay.

Enjoy fresh morning in countryside which you can not find in the crowed city. After breakfast, we will ride motorbikes to visit other beautiful village in Mai Chau. After crossing a small river, we will reach a village of White Thai people, who , the Vietnamese ethnic Thai group, sharing the same origin with the Thai in Thailand, Laotian and northern Burmese, where we have lunch at a local house. We then continue trekking to visit Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Return to Mai Chau in late afternoon and have dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in homestay.

After breakfast at homestay, we will hike to 1000 Step Cave and and visit local market. You have free time to go shopping and take photos. En-route lunch will be served. We then get back to Hanoi by van.
