Itinerary

Day 1Ho Chi Minh city – Mekong Delta (L, D)

Pick up at your hotel at around 8.00 am then depart for Can Tho. You will board on a wooden river cruise vessel at around noon. After a refreshing welcome drink, we will show you the on board facilities and your cozy cabin. As lunch is served, the boat starts cruising. Sit back and enjoy the picturesque riverside sceneries and the daily life of the local people. In the afternoon we will disembark for a guided leisurely walk through a village and the surrounding fruit orchards or rice fields, where we meet the friendly locals and taste their fruits and other products. Get back on board and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on sun deck to enjoy the sunset over the legendary Mekong River. When the cruise boat set anchor, we will enjoy our tasty on-board dinner. Stay overnight on board in the Mekong Delta.

Day 2Mekong Delta Visiting (B, L, D)

Wake up well rested to the sound of the river, we will get ready for another exciting day of sightseeing in the Mekong Delta. At around 6.30 am, the cruise vessel sets off for a sunrise journey. We will enjoy seeing the locals go about doing their daily work, drying their exotic fruits and building ships on the wooden yards while we enjoy our early breakfast. After breakfast, we will board on a sampan boat to Cai Be or Cai Rang floating market, the region’s busiest and most lively floating markets. We will be overwhelmed by the sheer variety of exotic fruits, vegetables and skillful handcrafted regional products. We will pull up to the boats for talking and bargaining with the merchants. We will also visit some of the local candy and cake making workshops. Later in the morning, we will board on a little hand-rowed sampan to flow on water coconut lined canals to see local houses, verdant orchards and ship-building yards. Alternatively you can discover the nearby town on foot or explore the small side canals of the Mekong River on a bicycle. The cruise resumes its journey as lunch is served. In the afternoon there will be another side trip to one of the Mekong villages along the way. Stay overnight on boat in Mekong River.

Day 3Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh city (B, L)

After breakfast and enjoy another morning cruising on Mekong River, we will visit another floating market. Be sure not to miss the great photo opportunities of the Mekong people and their life. Take another sampan side trip right into the lush rural landscape and the fertile paddy fields. Then it’s time to pack up and return to the pier from which we started. The Mekong Delta cruise boat tour ends at around 11.00 – 11.30 am at the pier. After lunch, we will drive you back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
